Brunch Peanut Butter Muffins

From peanutbuttercrumbmuffins

Today, I had that craving a lot of us get to have something warm, good smelling, and baked. I just had to bake today. I was on a mission. I mean it is overcast outside, the house is nice and quiet, and the baby is sleeping. Why not bake? Plus, I could have something waiting for the kids when they come home from school.

Well, at first I wanted to bake cookies, but I had no baking soda. Not wanting to ruin my nice and quiet day, I did not want to break the mood by running out to the store, so I had to rethink another comfort food. Why not muffins? Better yet, peanut butter flavored muffins. The kids love peanut butter, muffins are easy to hold, and the smell would be wonderful, plus everything I needed was in the pantry.

The recipe I used today comes from the Pillsbury Website. The muffins are super easy to make, quick to throw together, and great for a spur-of-the-moment hankering and treat for the family or small gathering. For example, a brunch. The recipe stays true to its prep time.

See, it is because of my sweet tooth I have to run. There is also anther Pillsbury muffin recipe I want to try next, PB&J muffins. That should also be another great one for the kids.

Enjoy!

These look and sound delicious! I can imagine how good they'd smell when baking ('cause peanut butter smells sooooo good straight from the jar). I'll bet your kids were happy when they got home.
