I Heart U

From Heart Me

If I am being honest, I was not much into Valentine's Day until I met the man pictured above.  Now, I just love having a special day to obnoxiously announce to the world how much I love this man, my husband.

When we had one of our very rare get-aways, before the baby was born, he whisked me off to a Bed and Breakfast located in the Hill Country of Texas. It was a wonderful escape, a little charming place in the middle of nowhere. The place where we stayed was a little cozy cabin cottage complete with a well-stocked kitchen. It took us only a short drive to arrive into downtown Fredericksburg, Texas, to visit the specialty stores that the little town is known for.  It is at one of these stores where I purchased these little heart-shaped pancake and egg molds.

With these little beauties, I cooked my hubby an " I heart u"  breakfast.

I have since used these little heart molds to make pancakes for my little sweethearts, my kids.  I also used them for our "Fancy Restaurant" Night to mold our mashed potatoes. You can also use them as biscuit and  cookie cutters or to make heart-shaped meat patties.

It is the little things like these that can add a special touch to a meal!

I've been to Fredericksburg!!! My college roommate grew up there. She didn't tell me about the fun specialty stores, though! Those heart molds are adorable.

I had never celebrated a Valentine's Day before my husband...it was for all those jerks in love lol. But now I look foward to it! Its going to be a close to home V-Day for us. I will be wooing him with my culinary skills...or maybe he will..hmm. Just to let you know you can buy the Coconut Oil at a health food store..but I believe you can use regular oil and just add some coconut extract for the flavor lol. Seriouly one time a recipe asked for coconut milk..and I was like huh...okay don't have that on hand..just used some milk and added coconut extract...actually turned out better than the real stuff!

Sorry it took me so long to get back to you!

LOVE your dress!

I agree, it's the simplest of things that can turn something ordinary into something special.

I'm sure your family really appreciates that!!
